Welcome to the MAB Homepage!

We're a group of people who live in north Kent (near-ish to the River Medway), who like to get together on a weekly basis and play board and card games.  We're open to playing pretty much anything, but we typically play strategy games of the kind known as "Eurogames" or "Designer Games" (games like "Catan" aka "Settlers of Catan", "Pandemic", and "Ticket to Ride"), and also modern examples of the "Thematic Games" style (games like "Arkham Horror", "Twilight Imperium" or "Descent").  If you're not familiar with these games, please take a look at our NEW TO MODERN BOARD GAMES? page (for an overview), and at our WHAT WE'VE PLAYED page (for details of games we've played at meetings over the years).  You might also want to check out the popular web series "Tabletop" (find it on YouTube here), as it features the kind of games we usually play.

We also enjoy a drink or two while we play, which is made a bit easier by holding our meetings in the private function room of a very friendly pub in Maidstone, the county town of Kent.

We meet every Wednesday from around  6:30-7:00PM onwards.  Regular attendees usually bring along at least two or three board or card games, so there's always a good selection to choose from, but if you want to bring along your favourite games, please do - you’ll likely find people very happy to play them!   

To cover the costs of the room hire, we do ask for a £2 per person table charge, collected on the night.
